I am pretty excited about this new design! I was inspired to get it on my needles one night during an evening run. I enjoy summer - but I LOVE fall and winter. What can I say - I'm a knitter! I also really prefer running in cooler weather. So as I was daydreaming about brisk fall runs thru crunchy leaves I thought "I really need a jogging hat." I wanted something light weight and breathable, but still warm. I am *slightly* obsessed with anything arrows/chevrons/triangles, and knew immediately that I wanted to stray from the traditional ribbed brim and to go for something that inspired movement forward. I love the simple use of knits and purls to create the arrows circling the brim of the hat!
Even more fun - the hat is totally reversible and unisex! I utilized a 4 point crown decrease, and in my opinion, this pattern is simple enough for a beginner and interesting enough for even the most seasoned of us knitters. It would make a great holiday present for anyone and everyone on your list. And to top it all off it only took about 135 yards of dk weight yarn and I knit up a second one in a single evening!
